2018-19 Staff

Josie DeCaro (’19) / Editor-in-Chief

This is Josie’s second year as a BluePrints staff member. Journalism interested her because it is a good and well-rounded background to have for the future. Not only it will provide her with a wide range of new writing styles and using creativity. The plans for Josie after senior year consist of majoring in Business and Finance. While Josie is not studying, she is often found on the track during the spring and during off-season.

Sarah Carpenter (’20) / Features Editor

Sarah Carpenter is a junior and this is her first year being part of the BluePrints staff. Sarah swims and plays tennis for GHS, is involved in several clubs, and enjoys skiing and sailing. When she isn’t in school, she is probably at River Road, at a friend’s house, or taking a walk. After high school, she plans to go to college, although is still deciding what she wants to major in.

Andy Hoben (’20) / Sports Editor

Andy is a junior and first-year member of the BluePrints staff. He joined the staff to explore his interest in journalism and improve his writing ability. Andy plays football and baseball at GHS and is also the member of the state-placing Envirothon team. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his big family, hanging with friends, and watching Michigan and Detroit sports. He plans on attending college, but is unsure on what he wants to do.

Liam McCamish (’20) / Website Editor

My name is Liam McCamish, I graduate in 2020. I´m pretty much a big nerd, I like writing reviews on music and new video games. You can find my latest game review in our latest newsmagazine or in the #VideoGames on our website.

Micah Organ (’19) / Entertainment Editor

Micah Organ is a senior and a first-year member of the BluePrints staff. She is interested in going into journalism in the future. When she is not writing, she can usually be found playing viola in orchestra room.

Jason Reding (’19) / Opinion Editor

Jason Reding is a senior at Granville High school and this is his first time being on the BluePrints Staff. He is involved in Track and the theater department, and he wishes to continue journalism in college.

Molly Wilson (’20) / News Editor

Molly Wilson is a junior at Granville High School and this is her first year on the BluePrints staff. She plays Basketball and Lacrosse here at GHS.
After high school she plans to go to pursue and study a career in writing.

Mrs. Tolbert / Adviser

Mrs. Tolbert got her start in journalism as the features editor of her college newspaper. She briefly considered a career in the media after completing internships at KDKA-TV and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, but then she fell in love with teaching English. A student publication adviser for over twenty years, she received specialized training in teaching journalism as a 2003 ASNE Summer Institute fellow
