Elliot’s Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap is located 16 West Main Street in downtown Newark. They are a family owned company and a Neapolitan style pizza kitchen which is a type of pizza that originated from Naples, Italy. They are generally smaller pizzas made with fresh basic ingredients and a little more sauce. When I visited the restaurant the service was amazing and the pizza was some of the best I’ve ever had. Along with pizzas they sell mouth watering appetizers, subs, sandwiches, tacos, salads, soups, and sweets like Tiramisu which is a layered sponge cake with mascarpone cheese. I decided to build my own pizza which is $11.99 where you can pick 3 toppings, but you can add more for $1.25. You can choose from 3 sauces, 2 cheeses, 12 veggies, 6 meats, and crust with or without gluten. I chose the original crust with barbecue sauce, shredded mozzarella, grilled chicken, and caramelized onions. It was the best barbecue pizza I’ve ever had and I think that has to do with how the oven cooks the crust and melts the cheese. It just tastes better than pizza from any  average oven. I also tried the Easy Cheese pizza that costs $8.99 for an 11 inch pizza and it was delicious. I highly recommend taking a seat at one of their large wooden tables with family or friends and try their absolutely amazing wood fired pizza if you get the chance. Or you can order by calling their number (740) 670-8510 for a pickup. They’re open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, but on Friday and Saturday they’re open until midnight and on Sunday they close at 9:00 pm.
