Schedule changes affect lunches

Administration created a new bell schedule due to students not utilizing breaks, according to Principal Matt Durst.

Breaks were removed to create longer lunches, he said.

Durst said that the tweaks in the schedule are beneficial for seniors who leave during lunch periods, allowing more time to go out for food.

Although the schedule is running smoothly now, initially there was an overlap with the middle school lunch period.

To resolve the conflict, lunch is now three minutes shorter. One minute was added between each morning class, Durst said.
