As Old Man Winter approaches, students question whether snow days will happen or not this year. The short answer is no.

The real reason why snow days are not happening has to do with the shortened days this year, according to Principal Matt Durst.

“We reduced the length of the school days for middle school and high school,” Durst said. “We will use asynchronous work on inclement weather days.”

Durst said that teachers will post assignments online. He added that assignments will take “15 to 20 minutes for each class.”

Weather and road conditions will determine if students can come to school for a short period of time or stay at home.

“If the roads are too sketchy, then students will stay at home,” Durst said.
