The board of education has made security a much higher priority in the past couple of years with more detail in lockdown drills.
“The most recent act of increased security by the board of education is adding over 60 new cameras across the district,” said Principal Matt Durst.
“The old security system was woefully deficient and had to be improved,” Durst said.
Cameras have been added in the stairwells and other focal points of the high school. The cameras have been added to all of the buildings to update the security of each building and give the students and staff a sense of safety.
